So, Callum, tell us a bit about yourself:
From an early age I’ve always loved technology being influenced by my dad, who inspired me to start coding. Growing up I always loved playing games and tinkering with how they work. I taught myself how to code in Java when I was in school and used this to create game modifications in Minecraft and have been hooked on development since.
When I am not working, my hobbies include Coding, playing games, traveling, hiking and anything that gets my adrenaline going!
What is your role in Oxbury and when did you join?
I started at Oxbury before we were a licensed bank at the end of 2018 as one of the first hires within the company. In that time, I’ve been involved in building the foundations of the bank, integrating with partners, and designing a reliable and scalable platform.
I have recently been promoted to Solutions Architect at Oxbury with the responsibility of integration, architecture and solution design whilst still getting stuck into the development & technical implementation with the rest of the team!
Tell us about your background and how that has led to you working at Oxbury and the role that you are in?
Starting when I was in school, I taught myself how to code in Java because I wanted to modify Minecraft. These modifications changed the way the game worked completely which allowed me to create my own games and functionality within.
Throughout school I taught myself how to code in many different languages and used this to start my career as an apprentice and worked my way up to become the Integration Engineer – which had a mix of lots of different technology from mobile apps to complex backend systems.
I am passionate about technology and doing the best I can to learn and contribute to the team across all areas.
